PID Services is pleased to announce that Rodney Horn has earned the IECEx Certificate of Personnel Competence. Currently there are only 18 people in the US that have earned this certification.

The IECEx certification agency has set the assessment criteria for this certification to include (but is not limited to) the following principles:

Properties of combustible substances and the nature of explosive
The basis of how explosion protection is achieved
Health & safety responsibilities related to explosive atmospheres
An understanding of Ex certification protection technique
Visible defects in explosion protected equipment and wiring

Rodney achieved this certification by documenting his work experience associated with Non-Hazardous and Hazardous Areas; providing evidence of  education and training; and passing a certification test. The training courses that Rodney has attended to obtain the certification include the following:
