Custom Crating Services

PID Services, Inc. offers custom crating services for a wide variety of applications. Whether your freight need is domestic or export international, PID  can design and fabricate your custom crate. Our onsite crating is designed to protect your cargo against damage in transit.

We export using the New International regulations named ISPM 15, which covers the required heat treatment of crates and wooden packaging materials in an effort to control wood pests.

We are a member in good standing with the Timber Products Inspections Heat Treatment Program which is accredited by the American Lumber Standard Committee, Inc. (ALSC). Our facility is in compliance with the International Plant Protection Committee’s ISPM 15: Guidelines for Regulating Wood Packaging Material in International Trade. In doing so we agree to the following:

• Maintain complete and up–to-date heat treatment and chain of custody records.
• Produce and market quality products, which conform to ALSC standards and regulations including HT standards (56 degrees C at the core for a minimum of 30 minutes) and parking requirements according to the specified end use.
• Apply the authorized Timber Products Inspection (TP) mark only to products which have been proven through applicable monitoring.
